Rabbi C. Funnye Jr. is the rabbi and spiritual leader of Beth Shalom
B’nai Zaken Ethiopian Hebrew Congregation of Chicago. He is also
National Associate Director of Be’chol Lashon (In Every Tongue),
Rabbi of Nigeria Orthodox Sabbath Solidarity (NOSS), which is
headquartered in Akwete, Nigeria, and he serves as Rabbi of the
Pan African Jewish Alliance.
On his first trip to Canada, Rabbi Funnye welcomes the opportunity
to meet members of the Toronto Jewish community, to share his
experiences and knowledge of the Afro-American Jewish community,
and of some of the many African Jewish communities that are
emerging or re-emerging. His presentation will be accompanied by
slides and there will be time for Q&A.
